My next couple of Sundays and Thursdays will be a little less brighter, but you have earned a break from your adoring fans. Watch out for the paparazzi while you take your R&R.
Yes, the paps can be so annoying. Along with the autograph hounds, the red carpet practical jokers and the stalkers. But when you live a life in the glare of the spotlight, these are just the usual prices of fame. Thanks, Michael. You always brighten mine.
Enjoy yourself friend & neighbor !!! Loved seeing you in “real life”!! Hope part of your vacation is seeing little Sam!! Enjoy every moment! Now I have to figure out how to fill my time on Mondays & Thursday mornings …
Til the 17 th!!
Love

Thanks, neighbor. FYI: Judy is trying to put together a trip here. We will have a reunion, I hope. As to filling your Thursday and Sunday mornings, may I suggest beating up Geoff Davenport on the Avoca playground?
Dear Ellen:
OH, YES … everyone needs a vacation … and knowing you, I am sure you will use
it wisely. Here’s to the next fourteen days. May they be filled with sunshine that will follow you wherever you go. And naturally, I too will miss you.
Love, Joan
Where you’re obviously going forever remains unscathed by the angst from the world’s insanity….. Have a fun, peaceful trip. I returned Thursday from our slice of paradise. Be mindful of speed limits traps going from 55 to 20, where Illinois drivers help pay for new gymnasium floors in these little town schools ….. Enjoy yourself as much as your summer ’13 jaunt….. You earned and deserve this respite.
Wonderful to see you live! Enjoy every second of whatever you do and unless you’re incommunicado in the African bush, drop in on the NSG every now and then.
Well well well. I need a vacation too. I hope you enjoy your break. May I recommend the Black Hills in S.D.? Just so happens there’s a little rally about to start. Along with the great companionship from the 8.1. There’s the beautiful scenery of the badlands and Mt. Rushmore and Devil’s Tower and roaming buffalos. There also just happens to be a shower around then. Get away from the city for a while. Take off your watch and turn the phone off. Last but not least, relax and enjoy!
Hi Ellen, I hope you are visiting your grandson and again, Mazel Tov. You do provide alot of comic relief. I get those down deep belly laughs when I read your blog and I love it…..Enjoy your respite and we will all be awaiting the next chapter…Diane:)
Well, Ellen, that was worth staying up for … enjoy your well-earned vacation!
Glad you thought so. You are a tough critic, Mr. Lubitsch.

You forgot to add that a good part of your vacation will be spent in Paradise. See you there.
I didn’t forget. Please see previous comment. Like Brad and Angie, I must keep my location secret. Yes you will. Can’t wait!
Boehmer and Ellen,
Where could that paradise possibly be?????
No fair guessing, Bernie! You just might have an inside track.

I will miss you, too. Don’t go to too many museums, galleries or lectures without me!

I plan on doing just that. Thanks, Arnie.

I just might be off the grid! But if I can find a hot spot, you’ll hear from me. Thanks, John.
Godspeed… I know you’ll find inspiration for new letters in the people you meet and the places you touch! Enjoy every second!
Thanks, KIS. And you’re so right. It’s a big adventure. I love to be a part of it all.

Sounds wonderful. I will take it under advisement. I love your suggestion about ditching the watch and the phone. I will! Thanks, buddy.

Aw, say it ain’t true… well only another few days to go.
And yes I’m rooting for Idris Elba (for two obvious reasons).
Happy to report that I’m feeling better day by day.
